1. Overview

ClearwayPDF (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates https://clearwaypdf.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Your files never leave your device. All PDF processing — editing, merging, compressing, converting, and OCR — happens entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. We do not receive, store, or transmit your PDF files.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily contact us.

  • Usage data — We use privacy-respecting analytics (page views, referrer, browser type) to understand how the site is used. No personal identifiers are stored.
  • Contact form — If you send a message via the contact page, the form opens your local email client. We receive only what you choose to send, and use it solely to respond to your inquiry.

3. Cookies

We do not set first-party cookies for tracking purposes. Third-party services we use (described below) may set their own cookies.

4. Advertising — Google AdSense

ClearwayPDF uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense is a service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google AdSense uses cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. The DART cookie enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing history.

You may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google Ads Settings page, or by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to our website. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You can learn more about how Google uses data at google.com/policies/privacy/partners.

6. Children’s Privacy

ClearwayPDF is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
