Common reasons to add an image
A company logo on a quote or invoice made from a template. A photo on an application form. A scanned stamp or a picture of your handwritten signature. A product picture on a price list. A QR code that points to a booking page.
In all these cases you do not need to recreate the document. You can place the image directly on the page.
How to do it
Open the PDF in the editor and choose Image in the toolbar. Pick a PNG or JPG file from your device, then click on the page where it should go. Drag the image to move it and drag its corners to resize it.
You can add several images and place them on different pages. Like everything in the editor, the images are added in your browser and the document is not uploaded.
When it looks right, click Done to download the new PDF.
Getting a sharp result
Use the largest version of the image you have. A logo copied from an email signature is often tiny and will look blurry when printed. The original logo file from your website or designer is a much better source.
Use PNG for logos, icons and anything with sharp edges or a transparent background. Use JPG for photos.
Resize by dragging the corners rather than placing a huge image and shrinking it a lot. Very large photos make the PDF heavy without looking any better on paper.
Ready-made stamps
For common marks you do not need an image file at all. The editor has stamps such as APPROVED, PAID, DRAFT, CONFIDENTIAL and COPY, as well as checkmarks, crosses and stars, which you can place and resize like an image.
A note on signatures
Pasting a photo of your signature works for many everyday documents. For a cleaner result, use the Sign tool, which lets you draw or type a signature directly. For contracts that require a verified electronic signature, check what the other party accepts before you rely on an image.
